Napp Pharmaceutical Limited (NPL) were proud sponsors of the Multidisciplinary Teamwork Award at the International Journal of Palliative Nursing Awards which took place last night.
The Palliative Nursing Awards recognise outstanding work within the field of palliative care, and the prestigious event is organised in collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support. The Multidisciplinary Teamwork Award highlights and recognises the importance of collaborative working in making a difference to patient care.
Our medical director, Paul Schofield, attended the ceremony and presented the award. He said “Napp has been committed to supporting those delivering palliative care for over 30 years, and we were delighted to be able to support this Award and recognise excellence in palliative nursing. Sponsoring the Award for Multidisciplinary Teamwork was particularly relevant to us because collaboration is central to the way we work at Napp.”
The Multidisciplinary Teamwork Award went to the Specialist Palliative Care Team at St Luke’s Cancer Centre in Surrey, for introducing a series of major developments to improve both the clinical service and the education and training of its staff.
